Overview of Novacem's partners
Novacem is developing relationships with companies focussed on sustainability in the cement, construction, building products, process engineering, petrochemicals and natural resources industries. Reducing cement industry carbon emissions is a complex problem and we aim to build an eco-system of collaborators and investors who can make a real difference. To discuss potential partnership, contact us here.
We recently announced the first closing of our Green Cement Bond, together with the participation of Lafarge, the world leader in building materials, as the first subscriber. The Bond is an innovative commercial and financial approach for engagement with major cement manufacturers to accelerate the development and commercialisation of our negative carbon cement. Bond subscribers will work with us in the development of a semi-commercial cement plant and share valuable experience in Novacem cement production.
Additionally, we recently led a two year £1.5Mn Technology Strategy Board (TSB) project to prove the technical and commercial viability of our cement. This was a collaborative R&D project in which our industrial partners are Rio Tinto (a leading global mining and exploration company) ; Laing O’Rourke (the largest privately owned UK construction firm); and WSP Group (a FTSE250 engineering company).
Additional collaborators and partners include Imperial College, the EPSRC, and The Carbon Trust where we have benefited from being part of the Incubator Programme.
Novacem participates in the Autodesk Clean Tech Partner Program. Autodesk is a world leader in 3D design and engineering software building strong partnerships with global innovators. This program supplies Novacem with world-class design software to visualise and simulate its technology.
